Lillian Basham Obituary

Lillian Grettis Campbell Basham (89) of Panama City, recently went to Heaven to be with the love of her life, Hank. Born June 23, 1924 in Dan, WV Grettis grew up in Minden and Oak Hill, WV. She was a resident of Panama City Florida since 1955.

Grettis is survived by her son Robert (Bob) Basham of Panama City; granddaughters Sandyl Basham Byars(Todd) of Tallahassee; Jessica Basham Therriault (David) of Gainesville and daughter-in-law Bonnie Basham of Tallahassee. She was preceded in death by her husband Hank and her son Dustin Henry Basham. She was the last surviving sibling of eight brothers and sisters.

A Celebration of her life will be held Saturday, August 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Southerland Funeral Home officiated by John Friedman, pastor of Forest Park United Methodist Church where she and her husband were longtime members.

In lieu of flowers and with her desire to help others as well as her love for animals the family requests contributions be made to the Southeastern Guide Dogs, 4210 77th Street East, Palmetto, FL 34221. Expressions of sympathy may be viewed or submitted at www.southerlandfamily.com.
