Leroy Ferrell Obituary

Leroy Ferrell Leroy Ferrell, 74, a retired general contractor, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Doris Jean Ferrell. The service will be at 11 a.m. EST Tuesday at Tallahassee Heights United Methodist Church, with burial at Roselawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. EST today at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins Road Chapel (877-8191). Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308. A native of Tallahassee, he served in the Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany. He attended church at Tallahassee Heights United Methodist Church and Mission-by-the-Sea in Alligator Point. A retired general contractor, he was in business with brother Carl Ferrell Sr. for 50 years. Other survivors include three sons, Stephen Ferrell (and wife Joann), Michael Ferrell (and wife Peggy) and Douglas Ferrell; a daughter, Sandra Ferrell; two brothers, Carl Ferrell Sr. (and wife Catherine) and Clyde Thomas Ferrell (and wife Beverly); two sisters, Mary Jordan (and husband Jim) and Gladys Billings (and husband Gene); two grandsons, Christopher Ferrell and Justin Ferrell; and a granddaughter, Savannah Ferrell.
