Crystal Rose SIKORA

SIKORA, Crystal Rose was born in St. Petersburg, on Feb. 22, 1967 and died on Sept. 27, 2013 in New York City. Crystal graduated from St. Petersburg High School in 1985. She earned her Bachelors of Music at the Boston Conservatory of Music. She was also a visiting scholar and student at Harvard University. Crystal then moved to New York City where she was an accomplished opera singer and music teacher. She sang in many prestigious venues in New York City and taught music in acclaimed schools such as St. David's and the Dalton School. She was also prolific writer and illustrator of children's books. While in New York City, Crystal married and had a son, Henry. Crystal leaves her son, Henry Sikora; her mother, Catherine Cattar; her stepfather, Phillip Cattar; her brother, Anthony Cattar; and her sisters, Mary Hubbard and Heather Rosenbaum. Crystal touched so many lives with her love of music and culture. She had many friends and was well loved, she will remain forever in our hearts. Visitation today, Oct. 6 at A Life Tribute, Gulfport from 3-5 pm. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Petersburg Monday, Oct. 7 at 10 am.
