Jack Neal ALVORD

ALVORD, Jack Neal born in Jackson, MI, March 13, 1926, passed away in Clearwater, March 9, 2014 after having lived in Florida for 60 years. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary; son, William (Carol); granddaughter, Alison of Merritt Island, FL; daughter, Shan (Michael) Perrotte; and granddaughters, Briana and Mia, all of whom dearly loved him. He joined the Army Air Force in 1943, was recalled to the Korean War, and graduated from Western Michigan University with a B.S. in 1953. Although retired for many years, he had worked for Pan American Airways, Bendix, Boing, and owned other small businesses, including Florida Professional Academy. He was a true Renaissance man, enjoying many diverse hobbies and activities, and in recent years, leading a Pinellas group in developing the Bayview Community Park. The family will receive friends at the Garden of Grace Ministries, Bayview Chapel, 2905 Gulf-to-Bay, Clearwater, from 3-5 pm, Sunday, March 23rd.
