MILLIGAN, Major of Tampa, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at 11 am at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 North Howard Avenue. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cora Lee Pride; father, Archie Milligan; daughter, Rosalyn Reed; brother, Richard Robinson; sisters, Shirley Anderson, Doris C. Clansey and Gloria Johnson. Major was a native of Tampa for 75 years. He graduated from Don Thompson High School and served in the U.S. Navy. Major spent his career with Gibson Homans, retired and became a freelance truck driver. He attended Holland Pine Missionary Baptist Church. He was a mason for many years and in his leisure time enjoyed "Fishing". He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Gloria Milligan; daughter, Tammy Trice (Reginald); 2 sons, Ian Grice, Marcus Silas; one sister, Martha Davis; 3 brothers, Leroy Johnson (Loretta), Arthur Pride, Rodney Milligan (Emma); brother-in-law, Reeche Wise (Rosalyn); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Arrangements entrusted to Ray Williams Funeral Home, Rhodes & Northern, Owners, 301 N. Howard Avenue.
