BLANKENSHIP, Aaron D. age 92, of Gibsonton, died on Friday, June 21, 2013. He is survived by his daughter, Ann Andrews; sister, Faye Harvey; grandchildren, Debbie Brown and Larry Thomas Andrews; and his great-grandchildren, Nicholas Aaron Brown, Lexxie Brown, Justin Andrews, Jason Andrews; as well as his former son-in-law, Larry Andrews. Aaron was a World War II veteran receiving a bronze star from the Aleutian Islands campaign, "The Forgotten Battle." He was a retired business man, and most notably Blank-enship's Meat Market. In his younger years, he was on the Board of Directors for Landmark Bank & Northside Bank, and was a member of the Chamber of Commerce of the Tampa Jaycees. A memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday, July 2nd, at 7 pm, at the Adams & Jennings Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 pm until service time. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, located at 322 8th Ave, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001, in his memory.
