SPRINGER, Diane M. of Toronto, Canada and St. Petersburg, took her final trip, traveling to be with her Savior on Aug. 10, 2013, after succumbing to cancer. Diane was born on May 14, 1946 in Milaca, MN to Walter and Irene Springer. She grew up in Crown, MN and graduated from St. Francis High School in St. Francis, MN. After graduating from college, there was no stopping her. She began a life of travel that didn't stop until she arrived at her final destination, eternal life in heaven. Diane earned a bachelors degree in administration/ accounting from St. Cloud State and an MBA from University of Minnesota. She worked at a CPA firm in Minneapolis and Seattle while earning a CPA certificate. She started a 23-year-career with Honeywell that gave her the opportunity to not only expand her career, but to also satisfy her love for travel. Work assignments involved 90% travel with 4-12 week assignments in European and domestic cities. Examples include Frankfurt, Vienna, Lisbon, Stockholm, Irvine, CA and St Petersburg. She completed her career as vice president of finance for Honeywell's Canadian operations based in Toronto. Being very successful, she was able to retire at 50 years old. After the working world, Diane loved to travel and had been to many countries including, Australia, New Zealand, South America, India, Italy, Spain, France, Turkey, Egypt; the list could go on and on. Other leisure activities included golf, kayaking, biking, boating, skiing and just about any outdoor sport. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Steven. She is survived by sister, Nancy Lytle; brother, Randy Springer; an aunt; nieces, nephews, and cousins. She also has many friends across the country. She is loved by all of her friends and relatives and will be sorely missed. Celebrations of life will be held at Hosanna Lutheran Church, Lakeville, Minnesota and in St. Petersburg, at later dates.
