KNECHT, Edward 90, of Sun City Center, passed away Feb. 21, 2013. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired as an assistant attorney general for the State of New York. He was Rotary International District Governor of District # 7150 in New York from 1970-1971, Rotary International Director from 1986-1988, Life member of the Sun City Center Rotary Club and a member of the Jewish Congregation of Sun City Center. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Lorraine "Boots" Knecht; daughter, Debbie Carlson and her life partner, Rick Murray; and grandson, Jake Carlson. Funeral service with military honors will be 2 pm Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 at Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center. Private burial Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
