GRONBORG, Georg of Holiday, born 1935 in Denmark, immigrated to New York with his aunt Ella, uncle Olaf, and cousins Kai, Jorn and Paul Hansen, all of whom preceded him in death. Georg served in the U.S. Army and belonged to Danish Brotherhood 242, Jamestown Elks 263, and Loyal Order of Moose 433. An award winning ballroom dancer, he held Arthur Murray and Fred Astaire franchises throughout his life. He loved flying kites with his family and joined Jorn's family in the annually. He is survived by sister, Grethe Larsen of Aalborg, Denmark; daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and David Ernest of Columbia, SC; daughters, Jodi Gronborg of Portland OR and Gina Gronborg of Staten Island, NY; grandchildren, Elizabeth Ernest and Ayden Ventura; and nieces and nephews. Memorial gifts can be made to the , 2115 West 38th Street, Erie, PA 16508 ( or the Danish Brotherhood, 3524 Aberdeen Ave, Erie, PA 16506. The memorial service is Friday, May 9, at 4 pm in the Shrine of Saint Michael, 113 Hope Streeet, Tarpon Springs.
