went to heaven on Oct. 2, 2015 at age 90, leaving behind his wife, Martha; and their three children, Kerri Atkins, Brian and Dale Schacker and their wives; and grandchildren, Kaila and Luke. He served his country in the military during World War II and then met Martha while playing professional baseball. Harold played throughout North and Central America and made it to the majors with the Boston Braves. Later he coached youth baseball teams in New York and Florida. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Harold moved his family to Florida where he secured a U.S. Post Office job until retirement. Harold loved his home and family and lived in Tampa for over 50 years. He was an avid supporter of the Rays, Lightning and the Buccaneers. His parents Rebecca and Samuel raised three boys in Brooklyn during the depression era, and now have relatives across the United States. We miss and love you and look forward to seeing you again and hope there's a baseball team in heaven.
