JOSEPH ANSELMO 6/18/49 - 8/22/13 Now watches over his family whom he loves very much as we do him especially children Joe & Jen Anselmo; son-in-law Shawn Pettersen; beloved grandchildren Jaiden Rose & Klara Mae. Joe served God & our country in the US Marine Corps in Quang Nam Province, Vietnam 1968-69 after graduating Plainville High School in Connecticut, employed by the VAMC in Newington, CT retiring in St. Petersburg. Father Thomas Sacnecki will preside over Funeral Mass at 9am at Bay Pines National Cemetery on June 18, 2014. All family & friends welcome. Joe was one of the many wounded humbled men who by God's grace came home alive from Vietnam an unsung hero receiving the Purple Heart, National Defense, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, RVN Cross of Gallantry w/palm, Good Conduct Medal wounded to keep America Home of the Free & Brave and never spoke of war nor carried a gun again. Joe was a man of Peace, Love. Semper Fidelis Joe, your family & friends salute you with the love, honor you so richly deserve! God bless America. Pray for our troops!
