Obituary

McINNIS, James Earl age 90, of Brandon, rose to Heaven Thursday, March 27, 2014, surrounded by his loving and caring family at his home. He was born in Sullivan, IN, to the late Eddy & Ruth McInnis. James was a long time member of East Point Assembly of God. He proudly served in and United States Army and Navy, he was a veteran of WWII, where he served in Germany and Czechoslovakia which he helped to release prisoners of war. James was the best husband, father, grandfather and friend that anyone could hope for. He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Gladys Irene McInnis; son, James Michael McInnis (Brenda); daug-hters, Joyce McInnis Avery (Arthur), Patricia McInnis Gill, and Kathy McInnis Kennedy (Michael); sister, Betty McIn-nis; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. James now joins in Heaven his parents, Eddy and Ruth McIn-nis; and his siblings, William McInnis, Geraldine McInnis, Deloris McInnis, and Chloella McInnis. A Visitation will be held 7-9 pm, Monday, March 31, at the Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home of Brandon. A Funeral Service will be at 11 am, on Tuesday, April 1, at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to www.WoundedWarriorProject.org.
