GUAGLIARDO, Jimmie Joe 83, of Cairo, GA, passed away at his home in Cairo, on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, surrounded by his loving wife and family. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, 11 am at the Garden of Memories in Tampa. He was born in Tampa on Aug. 4, 1928, to the late Tony Guagliardo & Thelma Weldon Guagliardo. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. On Feb. 13, 1951, he married Margaret Amanda Davis Guagliardo, who survives. He loved being a fire fighter and retired after 22 years of service to the city of Tampa. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #240 and #299, the American Legion, VFW, Eastern Star and a Grady County Volunteer Fireman. He was a deacon and member of Long Branch Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. He loved his family and enjoyed getting together with friends. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Guagliardo of Cairo, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, James & Donna Guagliardo of Round Rock, TX, Keith & Sheila Guagliardo of Fort Walton Beach, Timothy & Therese Guagliardo of Delray Beach, Tony & Colleen Guagliardo of Canton, GA; daughter, Paula Guagliardo of Boynton Beach. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony & Thelma Guagliardo; his sister, Sarah Ruth Guagliardo. Memorial donations can be made to the Grady County Volunteer Fire Dept., 250 N. St. Cairo, GA 39828.
