GREEN, Cathy Ledford Hansen 58, departed peacefully Feb. 24, 2013, at home in the arms of her husband, Johnny, and surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Green of St. Petersburg was born in Northern Virginia, graduating from John Marshall High School in Falls Church, VA. After graduation, she attended St. Petersburg Junior College and later moved to Cape Coral, where she attended Business School. She began her career in the insurance industry in the Washington, DC area working for her stepfather, J. E. Rice Insurance Agency for 10 years. Moving back to St. Petersburg, she continued her insurance career with Stahl & Associates Insurance, Inc. and most recently, Doug Mayer Insurance. She has been a member of American Mensa, Ltd. for 30 years. She was member of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club, The Club at Treasure Island, The Daughters of the American Revolution and The Crew of Princess Ulele. She was also a published author, artist, poet and a passionate angler, golfer and bowler. Mrs. Green is survived by her loving husband, Johnny Green; daughters, Catherine Ledford of Woodbridge, VA, and Suzanne Avington & her husband, Christopher of St. Petersburg; stepdaughter, Tiani Schifano of Chapel Hill, NC; her grandson, William David Zaragoza of Woodbridge, VA; mother, Dolores Rice & stepfather, Joseph Rice of Palm City, FL; her stepmother, Eleanor Heinbuch of Falls Church, VA; grandmother, Vernie Eddins of Palm City; brother, John Heinbuch & his wife, Jeanette of Solomons, MD; aunt, Ella Eddins of Venice; uncle, Arlie Weldon Eddins & his wife, Nancy of Kailua, HI. She was preceded in death by her father, John Heinbuch Sr. She also loved her many cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation services will be held between 2-5 pm, Saturday, March 2nd at Brett Funeral Home, 4810 Central Ave, St. Petersburg. Memorial Service will be between 2-5 pm, Sunday, March 3rd, at The Club on Treasure Island, 400 Treasure Island Causeway, Treasure Island.
