DELZER, Dale 79, of Palm Harbor passed away June 9, 2013 after a long illness. He is predeceased by his parents, Ted and Augusta Delzer and his brother, Lavern Delzer. Dale is survived by his wife, Helene; sister, Bernice Brucklacher and her husband Laverne; sister, Betty Barnes of Sioux Falls, SD; sister, Bonnie Bingen and her husband Larry of Minneapolis, MN; sister-in-law, Maxine Delzer of Dallas, TX; and 13 nieces, nephews and their children. He was born on a farm in Menno, SD and started work at a very young age. He moved to Sioux Falls at age 17 and worked as a custodian while he went to Washington High School. He very much enjoyed being in the band and the pep band. Dale was an Army veteran, and proudly served in the Korean War. He graduated from Augustana College in Sioux Falls while working as a foreman for John Morrell and Company. After graduation he worked for 3M Company for 35 years. During that time he worked as the European Controller and lived in Europe for several years. His last position prior to retirement was Controller for International operations. A viewing for Mr. Delzer will be held on Friday, June 14, 9 am at Curlew Hills Funeral Home with a funeral service at 10 am. Interment will follow the service in Curlew Hills Memory Gardens.
