HARRIS, David Howard

died on April 17, 2018 in St. Petersburg, Florida, at the age of 76. He is survived by his two children, Peter Harris and Sarah (Harris) Troiano both of Massachusetts, and his seven grandchildren. He was born on September 23, 1941 in New York City, son of Julius Harris and Selma (Jackson) Harris. A 1959 graduate of Phillips Andover Academy, he then graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S.E. (1965) and M.S.E. in Industrial Engineering (1966). David was one of the founders of the managed care healthcare model in Massachusetts, spending most of his career as a Health Care Executive including serving as a Partner in one of the Big 5 Consulting firms and as an Executive Director of managed care businesses in Washington and Indiana. More recently, David had served on the Board of the St. Petersburg City Theater and First Night St. Petersburg. Throughout his life he was very active in community theater in Massachusetts and Florida, performing in dozens of musical and dramatic productions.
