SHEA, James E.

84, passed away peacefully to his heavenly reward May 9, 2018. He leaves behind his loving wife, Jane, whom he was married to for 57 years. Also grieving his loss are his five daughters, Kathy Pedrero (John), Tara McLaughlin (Brian), Trish Shea, Molly Howard (Jack), Eileen Vath (Bob); and 11 grandchildren. He was born in New York to Richard and Leona Shea and grew up in White Plains. Jim is predeceased by his brother Dan, and sister-in-law, Patricia Shea. Jim graduated from Niagara University and served two years in Korea with the United States Army. He moved to Clearwater in 1958 where he met his darling, Janie. They built a beautiful life together as they added daughter after daughter. Jim was a proud American. He was a faithful member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and very supportive of the Pro-life movement. Jim's career at IBM lasted for more than 30 years, and he enjoyed his tenants and the management of his rental properties in his retirement. He enjoyed road trips off the beaten path and discovered many interesting sites that he loved sharing with his family on vacations in North Carolina. Jim will be missed dearly by his family and those that knew him. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Largo Saturday, May 19, at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
