BARTON, John Jr. "Jack"

of Largo, died unexpectantly June 24 at age 86. He lived in several places growing up, but considered Clearwater FL, where he went to High School, to be his home. He attended Clemson University graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He subsequently joined York Corporation where he began a career working in heating and air conditioning. Transferring to Cleveland, OH he subsequently joined Feldman Brothers where he spent the bulk of his professional career. He worked on many of the major buildings built in Cleveland during the 1960s and 1970s and later including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as an independent consultant. Having spent most of his adult life in Cleveland, he returned to Largo, FL in his later years. Jack loved travel, casinos and painting having spent many years combining travel and painting at various Elder Hostels. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara; and one sister, Anne Robinson. He is survived by one sister, Shirley Hill; his children, John (Michelle), Steve (Catalina), and Lisa (Bob); and seven grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, July 15 at Venus Restaurant from 3-5 pm in Largo, Florida. Interment will occur at a later date.
