ROBERTSON, John Lee

died Sept. 10, 2018, he was 87. John was born in Charleston, WV and was a graduate of South Charleston High, Morris Harvey College, and the University of West Virginia Law School (Class of 1959). He was subsequently admitted to both the West Virginia and Florida Bar Association. John moved to Dunedin, FL at which time he joined the practice of Kerr and Peebles. In 1961, John was made a partner with the firm and it was renamed as Peebles, Robertson and Gracy. During these early years in Dunedin, John was very active in the community serving as a municipal judge, Board of Directors of First National Bank and Trust, President of the Dunedin Rotary Club, and a Charter member of North Dunedin Baptist Church where he continued to be a member until his death.

In 1974, John moved his family back to Dawson, West Virginia where he continued his career as an attorney, banker, and farmer. During his time in Dawson, John would continue his community service, becoming a regional President of One Valley Bank, a member of the West Virginia Bar Association Board of Governors, and a member of the West Virginia Bankers Board of Governors. In 2001, John would return with his family to Dunedin where he continued his passions of God, family, church, golf, and boating.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Harriett; their two children, Patricia and Katherine; and their grandchildren, Lee, Celia, Katy, Sara, and Claire.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, September 15, 2018 at North Dunedin Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to an individual's . Condolences may be sent to the church in care of Harriett Robertson.
