BEISINGER, Leota T.

96, of Brooksville, FL, died on December 4, 2017. She moved from Burlington, NC in 1968 to Florida. After spending a year in Gainesville, she and her husband moved to Brooksville. She retired from Bell South Telephone Company in 1986 as a business service representative with 47 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Charles, her parents, a brother, and sister. A niece, Betty Bost, survives her. She enjoyed being active in church and local organizations, having served as president of the American Business Women's Association, Brooksville Music Club, Bay Ridge District. She served on the Business Advisory Committee of Pasco Hernando State College. In addition, Hernando County Fine Arts Council. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Brooksville for years and had been a member of the adult choir and president of the Women Serving God Circle. In 1977 she was presented the Woman of the Year Award of the Tangerine Charter Chapter of the American Business Women. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 1 pm, at the Brooksville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial gifts to the First United Methodist Women, 109 S. Broad St. Brooksville, FL 34601, or to the Robert Charles Beisinger Scholarship Fund of Elon University, Elon, NC 27244.
