passed away at the age of 91 August 5, 2018 in St. Petersburg, Florida from heart complications. Muriel was born in Springfield, Massachusetts to the late Rena and Arthur Gosselin and came to Florida from Michigan in 1968. She was preceded in death by her husband, Winter; son, William Alan Sweitzer; stepson, Mark; one brother and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Gretchen (Sweitzer) Brown (Ernie); three grandchildren, James (Melissa), Jenn (Adrian) and Eric (Jorey); and two great-grandchildren. Muriel is also survived by her stepchildren, Matthew, Max (Kristina), Michael (Debbie), and Mary McClung (Jim); and stepdaughter-in-law, Peggy. The family is grateful for the invaluable support of nephew, William O'Reilly and other nieces and nephews whose calls delighted her. Muriel retired from the Clerk of Courts office as a supervisor. A long-time resident of Carlton Arms, she was a die-hard Rays fan and bingo queen who enjoyed dancing, shopping and joyfully spontaneous song and will be sorely missed by the many who enjoyed her kindness and friendship. Arrangements will be handled by ALife Tribute.

Memorial services will be held 10 am, August 24, 2018 at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 738 Pinellas Point Drive S. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The , PO Box 840692, Dallas, Texas 75284.
