PEMBELTON, Odell

66, of Tampa passed away at home Sept. 9, 2018 after a long hard fought battle with cancer. Odell was a "social butterfly" and cherished his friends of which he had many. He was a Marine and a member of the Mason Lodge of Tampa. Odell was a master plumber by trade and at the time of his retirement held the position of Chief Plumbing Inspector of the City of Tampa. He was a musician and a member of ASCAP. He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence Pembelton; his mother, Mary Jernigan; and his grandson, Jesse Pembelton. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marci Pembelton; one daughter, Lalaina Rivera; sister, Joyce Taeger; brother, Roger Pembelton; he also had four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family will plan a Celebration of Life in the next few months. To Joyce and Jerry Taeger and Roger Pembelton, we could not have gotten thru these difficult times without you. To his best friend in the world, Adriana Squire, thank you. To my husband: you made me a promise to find Jesse and keep him safe. I find solace knowing you are together again.
