Roumelle Ruth KELLNER


KELLNER, Roumelle Ruth 89, went to be with her heavenly father on Feb. 5, 2013. She was born in Bristol, SD, on Nov. 17, 1923 to Walter & Johanna Olson and grew up in Alexandria, MN. While attending college in Tacoma, WA, she met her future husband, Albert Kellner, at the USO. They married June 2, 1946 and moved to Tampa. In 1965, they relocated to Temple Terrace. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert Kellner; and her brothers, Robert Olson and James Olson; and sister, Mary Ellen Wallen. She was a devoted wife & caring mother. She is survived by her children: son, Charles O. Kellner, Plant City; & daughters, Mary Frances Meyer (James), Tallahassee, and Debra Ruth Stewart (Arthur), Tampa; and a sister, Julaine Kusler, Akron, IA. She was also a member of the Temple Terrace Garden Club. As a member of the Tampa Baptist Church she was very involved in teaching Sunday school & singing in the choir; being social chairman of the choir for many years, serving the Lord where needed. A memorial service will take place at 11 am on Saturday, Feb. 23rd, at the Blount & Curry Carrollwood Chapel, with Commissioners Paul and Jajuan Kellner of the Salvation Army officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Private burial will take place at a later time. Memorial contributions may be made to the or to LifePath Hospice.
