BOYETTE, Susan Gammino

"Sue" 65, passed away July 1, 2018. She was predeceased by her parents, Wilson and Joan Gammino and is survived by her husband, Alan; son, Alan Wilson; brother, Pete Gammino (Sharon); sister, Nancy Arnold; mother-in-law, Louise Boyette; brothers-in-law, Edward Boyette (Kathleen), Rick Boyette (Rita); and many nieces and nephews. Sue grew up in Warwick, RI and graduated from The University of Rhode Island with a BS in Nursing (RN). Her lifelong passion was nursing in which she caringly comforted patients from Rhode Island to Tampa. She especially took pride in being a member of the staff and administration at Tampa General Hospital from 1980-2018. She began her career there as a nurse manager in their Burn Unit. She ended her career at TGH as a nurse manager in their Surgical Services Division. She deeply loved her TGH family as well as her neighbors in Winthrop Village. The hours that she spent with you were so dear to her and time that she deeply cherished especially the Social Hours. A memorial service will be held for Sue, 10 am to 12 pm, Saturday, July 14, at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Road, Riverview, FL. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Tampa General Hospital Foundation or Lifepath Hospice. The family would also like to sincerely thank Lifepath Hospice's Indigo Team for the many caring and devoted hours given to Sue.
