CECIL, Bill G., 75, died April 23, 2012 at West Winds Assisted Living Facility, Zephyrhills, Fl., after a lifelong battle with Parkinson's disease. He is survived by his sisters, Lucille C. Gore, Zephyrhills, Fl and Katherine Given (Ernest R., Jr.), Hurricane, WV; nephews, Dr. Jeffrey Given Hurricane, WV., David Cecil, Jim Bill Cecil Prairieville, LA; and sister-in-law, Norma Jean Cecil, Zephyrhills, Fl. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Bryant and Sadie Cecil, and brothers, Jack Cecil and William "Bud" Cecil. Born August 28, 1936, in Pineville, WV, he graduated from Pineville, WV High School. He served in the US Army Spearhead Division while stationed in Germany during the Berlin Cold War crisis. After his military service, he attended WV State College receiving his degree in Business Administration and then worked at the College several years in Research. Bill will be remembered by a host of friends for his kindness and great sense of humor. His family wishes to thank all the staff at West Winds Assisted Living and also Gulfside Regional Hospice for the special love and care he was given. Graveside services will be held at 10 am Thursday, April 26, at Oakside Cemetery, Zephyrhills. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to Guldside Regional Hospice, 5760 Dean Dairy Rd., Zephyrhills, FL 33541.
