DAKIN, Arthur W., 67, of Wesley Chapel passed away July 14, 2014 at his home. He was born 8/10/1946 in Cincinanatti, OH to David and Rose Dakin. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam receiving a purple heart. On February 19, 1972 he was united in marriage to Debra Coop in Michigan. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, David and sister, Melody. Survivors include his beloved wife of 42 years, Debra Dakin; 2 sons, Tony Dakin and Scott (Jessica) Dakin; 2 daughters, Jennifer (John) Dakin, and Heather (Jeff) Glisson, 16 grandchildren, Alisha-Kate, Allen, Chelsea, Brittany, Sydnei, Eileen, Anthony, Skot, Samantha, Caleb, Cory, MelodyLyn, Brooklyn, Zack Isabelle, Thea; 2 great grandchildren, Jaylyn and Madison; sisters, Doris (Tim) Meibauer, Tiny Dakin, Dixie (Dan) Mullins and Nellie Dakin; brother, Greg (Debbie) Dakin. "You will always be in our hearts." Visitation will be 5-7 PM Saturday, July 19th at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Zephyrhills. A service will be conducted 1 PM Sunday at the funeral home with military honors.
