WILSON, David R. 80, passed away Aug. 19, 2014 in The Villages, FL. Mr. Wilson was born in Ludlow, MA and moved to Florida in 1971 from the Boston area. He started a retail tire business in Sarasota where he was known for his friendly tire and automotive services. He later moved to the Clearwater area where he owned another tire outlet known as Big Ten Tires which later became Advantage Tire Company. Mr. Wilson was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Egypt Temple Shrine in Tampa. He was also an Army veteran. Mr. Wilson is predeceased by his wife, Eleanor and his eldest son, Darrald Wilson. He leaves his five remaining children, Debra Mackay, Clearwater, Dean Wilson, Bellevue, WA, Keith Wilson, Springfield, VA, Robin Dunaway, LaGrange, KY, and David P. Wilson, Tampa; fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at North Lake Presbyterian Church in Lady Lake (The Villages), FL, Saturday, Aug. 30, at 5 pm with a reception to follow.
