WECHTER, William J. 87, was called to be with our Heavenly Father on Sept. 1, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Joanne. His surviving children include John, Mark (Olga), Joan, Janet (Robbie Chin), Julie, and Jean Lagor (Frank). He is predeceased by his sons, James and Jeff, and grandson, Mark Jr. He is also survived by his sister, Rose Marie Clark of Elyria, OH and predeceased by his siblings Frank, Carl, and Marcella. He has 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; his niece Sharon Boake, and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was born in Huron, OH where his family's business was Wechter's Huron Dairy. In 1967, the family business was sold and he relocated his family to Indian Rocks Beach, where they owned Windward Cottages on the Gulf. In 1973, he began a career in real estate with Rogers and Cummings/Merrill Lynch until his retirement. He served in the Coast Guard Reserve during WW II and was a lifetime member of the K of C. "Bill" always put his family first. He was loved and respected by all. Friends and family will be received at Brett Funeral Home from 6-8 pm, with a celebration of life at 6:30 on Friday, Sept. 10, 2010. The funeral Mass will be held at Bon Secours Maria Manor at 11 am, Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, with the interment to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
