Obituary

BRUSCHI, John Edward 55, of Plant City, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011. Retired Tampa Police Officer. Preceded in death by his father John A. Bruschi. Proud father of John N. Bruschi, Mark C. Bruschi and Jennifer L. Rollins; son of Shirley A. Copeland; brother of Linda Conaway (Joseph) and Thomas A. Bruschi. John was the Fund Raising Committee Chairman of Plant City Support Our Soldiers. He was a very active volunteer, organizing pickups of donated supplies, as well as contacting various businesses and vendors for donations, John was an integral part of this organization. He was the heart and soul of PCSOS. Whatever needed to be done, John would jump in and do it. His patriotic spirit and motivation to support the deployed military had no boundaries. He assisted in setting up a booths at the Bike Shows, as well as assisting the school collection efforts for PCSOS. John was an incredible fund raiser, helping raise money to cover the cost of shipping. John also participated in the shipping process, getting the packages to the post office and dealing with the postal people. There wasn't a person he came across during fund raising efforts, that didn't have an ultimate respect or admiration for his efforts. He will be very sadly missed. Visitation will take place Monday evening, March 21, 2011, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa. Graveside Service will be Tuesday, March 22, at 3 pm at Myrtle Hill Cemetery. A celebration of John's life will take place at O' Brians Irish Pub 1701 South Alexander Street, Plant City from 5 pm- 8 pm on Tuesday evening.
