FERNALD, Laurance S. 91, of St Petersburg, was called home on Dec. 23, 2012. He served in the Army Air Corps and the USAF Reserve as a B-29 Navigator. In 1945, while on leave, Dad married the love of his life, Elaine Webber, who shared his life for nearly 69 years. They met at, married at, and have remained members of, Allendale United Methodist Church, where Dad served his Lord in many capacities. Dad was co-owner of Fernald and Wallace Lathing and Plastering for over 50 years as well as a general contractor specializing in walls and ceilings. He was a 32nd Degree Mason. Dad is survived by our Mom, Elaine; four sons, Larry (Barb), Steve (Kathy), Carl (Pam), & Bruce (Vanessa); 2 sisters Marion Nichols & Gloria Ellinwood; 13 grandchildren; & 14 great grandchildren, with a 15th due in Jan. A Celebration of Life will be held at Allendale UMC on Jan. 25, 2013, at 11 am with interment to follow at Bay Pines. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Allendale UMC or Suncoast Hospice.
