KOBERNICK, Dr. Stephen 51, beloved husband of Debbie, loving father to Alyssa and Max, passed away on Nov. 23, 2013. Stephen was the son of Ruth and Jerry Kobernick of Baltimore, MD, brother to Jill (Sasa) and Lisa (Dennis), the son-in-law of Ida Schmidt Chait and Irving Chait of Baltimore, MD, brother-in-law to Robert (Julie), Marty and Linda (Frank), a loving uncle to his nephews and a cherished friend to many. Stephen was born in Baltimore, graduating from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in biology. Stephen studied dentistry at the University of Maryland and completed his residency in periodontics at the University of Alabama. Stephen and Debbie moved to St. Petersburg in 1990, and he established his periodontal practice in Clearwater. Stephen loved his family and friends unconditionally and was a well-respected member of the community. He embraced life to its fullest and will always be loved and dearly missed by his family and friends. Services will take place at Congregation B'nai Israel, 300 58th Street North, St. Petersburg, Sunday (today), Nov. 24, 2013 at 12 pm. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Largo.
