Bernard Dondiego

DONDIEGO, Bernard, age 83, of Plant City Florida passed away Thursday, July 7th, 2011 at Sun City Center Hospice. A native of New York City, he was the son of Bernardo Dondiego and Rose D'antona. Survivors include His beloved wife of 62 years, Sue M. Bauer Dondiego; daughters, Mary Beth Dondiego, Mary Grace Dondiego, Mary Sue Dondiego; sisters, Angelina Kosinski, Marie DiMartino, Rose Dondiego; and one granddaughter, Alyssa Switlik. Preceded in death by siblings, Lucy Uzzi Philip and Danny Dondiego. Mr. Dondiego was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII. A member of the Plant City American Legion Post, Founder and Past President of Foster and Adoptive Family Ser-vices, he was a foster parent for 29 years and helped to raise 38 children, he was also the retired Post Master of Middlesex New Jersey.
