Luigi E. D'Alessio Obituary
Luigi E. D'Alessio, 86, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Nemasket Healthcare Center in Middleboro. He was the husband of Carol E. (Butler) D'Alessio. Born March 13, 1930 in Brockton, he was a son of the late Guido DAlessio and Irena (Tulini) DAlessio. Luigi was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1949. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1951 (with his twin brother) and served on Okinawa as a Staff Sargent at The Pentagon. Luigis years of service were from1951-1955. He is survived by his wife, Carol E. (Butler) D'Alessio of Raynham; his son, Dale D'Alessio of Halifax; his grandchildren, Jillian D'Alessio of Miami, Florida, Stephen D'Alessio of Taunton and Daniel D'Alessio of Rockland; his great-grandson, Sebastian D'Alessio of Miami, Florida; his siblings, Agostino D'Alessio and Delores D'Alessio both of Brockton. He was the twin brother of the late Guido D'Alessio, who passed away on February 28, 2014. Luigi is also survived by his brother-in-law and sister in law, Richard and Doris Butler, originally of Middleboro, now of Clemmons, North Carolina; his nieces, Elizabeth Adams and her husband Richard, and their children Victoria and John Adams of Leominster, Cheri Holmes of North Carolina and her children Kiley Holmes and Chad Holmes, Terri Vidito and her husband Brian of North Carolina. A funeral service will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rte. 123), Brockton on Tuesday, January10, at 12 p.m. Interment will follow in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne.
