GINEX, John Alan, age 65, of Tampa passed into the loving arms of angels November 8, 2013. John Alan was loved dearly and in his final hours was constantly surrounded by immediate family and close friends. He is best remembered as a loving soul who loved riding his bike throughout the Riverside Heights neighborhood, stopping to greet and make friends along the way. John Alan was born with Down Syndrome but it never barricaded the endless love, dedication, and affection John gave with an open heart to all who met him. A special thanks for all the support and dedication and care of John Alan by Hillsborough County Developmental Center. John Alan was preceded in death by his loving father, John C. Ginex; and is survived by his loving family, mother, Frances Ginex; sister, Marlene T. Ginex; brother, Mark A. Ginex (Angela); aunt and uncle, Dora and Joe Caltigirone; and many loving cousins, and other loving family members and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 12, at 12:00 noon at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 5225 N. Himes Ave., with the family receiving friends from 11:00 am until Mass time at the church. Entombment will follow in L'Unione Italiana Cemetery Mausoleum. Pallbearers include: Richard and Joseph Arcuri, Dominick Ginex, Dennis and Ray Sanchez, and Mark D. Ginex. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in John Alan's memory to the H.C.D.C., 14219 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa, FL 33613. Please send online condolences to: www.jgrfuneralhome.com

Our family has "known" John for many years. We also live in Riverside Heights and John brightened many of our days as he passed by our home on his bike. We have missed seeing him for quite a while now. Praying for God's comfort for your family during this time of loss.
