BUTLER, Carol, 57, of Tallahassee, and formerly of Tampa, FL, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on October 9, 2012. She was a dedicated employee of the Florida Dept. of Corrections for 35+ year of her life. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, James W. Roberts. She is survived by her beloved daughter and best friend, Robin Hill, mother Martha Roberts, father Duane Mansell, stepmother Elaine Mansell, siblings; Cyndi Mansell Grimes, Teri Mansell Hansen, Kathi Mansell Graham, Diane Roberts Smith, Steven W. Roberts and their spouses as well as many loving nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of adoring, loving friends. Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012, at Sunset Memory Gardens at 1PM. There will also be a Memorial Service to follow at a later date in Tallahassee. Carol requested in lieu of flowers, that donations may be made to Moffitt Cancer Center, 12902 Magnolia Drive, Tampa, FL 33612.

I worked closely with Carol at DC during the recent move to the Carlton building. She was a pleasure to work with and a really wonderful lady. She will really be missed.

I worked with Carol at Zephyrhills Correctional Institution and she was such a beautiful kind women. Her greatest joy was having her baby girl. RIP dear lady. You will be missed.
