We are so sad to learn the passing of my former partner and good friend, Leonard Chambliss -- the obituary in today's Tampa Tribune came as quite a shock. Even though we had not worked together for several decades, I feel compelled to comment on the fact that Leonard was always a good friend, as honest as the day is long, and a capable partner in the development of real estate that we both were engaged in the 1970s and later. The project that comes to mind is Suburban Villas, in Brandon.

Please accept the sincerest condolences from the entire Gruman family; we know that Leonard will be sorely missed, and our especial best wishes to Mary, and Leonard Jr..

Sincerely,

Bill and Eva

Dear Mary, Len Jr. and family,
We were very sorry to hear of the loss of Leonard. I only knew Leonard for about 45 years, but it was as if he were my blood brother from birth. He was always there to help, and you couldn't ask for a better friend He will be missed by all. He lived his Masonic teachings. We know where he is now and that is a great comfort.
