A POEM FOR BART For 15 months, I tried my best to be your first born, your only son. I don't know what happened- then there was another one. You-with a 6th grade education, just learning to spell C-A-T---CAT! Even though your father sent you off to work-you found something you were good at. Very soon I had a baby sister too, when I was only 3-- then another brother and another and the years kept flying by. OKAY--That's enough. Somebody stop this guy! Your father was from Sicily- your mother was Italian. You could not be made in the Mafia, but that was not stopping you-- A Sistallion!?? For a while, I thought the rush was over--the end of the Baby Boom; until you rushed my mother back to the Labor Room. So on this Father's Day I offer you my heartfelt Congratulations- You made me and 8 more-increasing the World's Population. And so it goes-and you are gone-taken in 1970 at the age of 43-It was God's Intention; because it seems, it was God's only Way of Natural Birth Prevention. by Nunzio Father's Day 2013
