CHERNOFF, Jack - Tampa  
CHERNOFF, Jack, age 88, of Tampa, died Thursday, April 23, 2015. Mr. Chernoff was born in Brooklyn, New York and came to Tampa in 1977 from Germany. He was an insurance agent with Metropolitan Life for over 25 years having worked in New York, New Jersey, Germany and Tampa. He was a member of the former Beth Israel Congregation in Tampa. Survivors include his beloved wife of 69 years, Edith; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven & Nanci Chernoff of Bellmore, NY, Michael Chernoff & Julie Worthington of Tampa and Louis & Janet Chernoff of Tallahassee; daughters and son-in-law, Randy & David Navo of Great Neck, NY, Karen Chernoff and her partner, Shelly Newman of Plainview, NY and Pamela Ferlazzo and the father of her children, Paul Ferlazzo of Lincoln Park, NY; and ten cherished grandchildren, Aviam, Seth, Heather, Jeffrey, Samarah, Elliot, Eric, Danny, Raymond and Rebecca. Graveside services will be held Sunday, 10:00 AM at Gan Shalom Cemetery (3527 County Line Road). In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Chabad of Tampa Bay, 14908 Pennington Rd., Tampa, FL 33624. Condolences may be expressed online at segalfuneralhome.com .

CHRIST, Roy - Tampa  
CHRIST, Roy Richard (Dick) passed away April 14, 2015. Dick was born in Mansfield, OH to Effie Christ (n‚e Nance) & Samuel Christ. Af-ter serving in the U.S. Navy for four years, he moved to Tampa in 1949 and graduated from the Uni-versity of Tampa in 1953. While attending UT, Dick was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, rowed on the crew team, and was recognized in the UT year book notables as "the best looking man" his senior year. After gradu-ating from UT, Dick began his career as a Mathe-matics Teacher and worked for the Hillsborough County School System for the next 30 years until his retire-ment in 1983. Throughout his teaching career he was recognized as a leader of Mathematics Education; eventually he went on to complete a Master's in Education from Livingston University in Livingston, AL. He was a generous man who strived to imprint a sense of order on his students, living by his own motto, "If you needed to send a child to the prin-ciples office, you have failed for the day." He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Collene Christ (n‚e Schultz), and is survived by children, Cynthia Lancaster (n‚e Christ), Richard (wife, Donna) Christ, Lori Christ; grandchildren, Christopher Christ, Jamie (wife, Roberta) Fargen, Jason (wife, Natalie) Lancaster, Nicholas Lancaster, Cory Lancaster, Angela O'Neal; and great-granddaughter, Haleigh Christ. A memorial service will be held at the University of Tampa in Plant Park at 1:00PM on Sunday, April 26, 2015.

COFFER, Dennis Edward, 61, of Seffner formerly of Lynchburg, VA, entered into rest April 21, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Grace Coffer. Survivors include his brothers, Stanley and John Coffer; sisters, Diane Coffer, Josette Wooldridge; and many other extended family members. A celebration of life will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Stowers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Collins, Willie "Big Will" - Avon Park  
COLLINS, Willie "Big Will", was the oldest son of (8) children born to David Collins Sr. and Eloise Collins, who both preceded him in life. He was born in Magnolia, Mississippi on July 15, 1930 and exited this life on April 17, 2015 in Brandon, Florida. Willie, who was known to many as "Big Will" married the late Willie Bee Varnado Collins on October 15, 1951. They migrated to Avon Park, Fl shortly after their union. He worked more than 20 years as a Foreman for Ben Hill Griffin Incorporated before becoming Owner/Operator of Collins' Trucking. He was an active member of the Carolina Church of Christ in Avon Park. He leaves to mourn (7) children : Sons: Melvin Collins Avon Park, Fl; Christopher Collins (Tametryce), Plant City, Fl; Larry Collins (Stephanie), St. Petersburg, FL Daughters: Willie Mae Mays (Albert Jr.), El Paso, TX ; Jerdine Collins-Williams, Avon Park, FL; Katherine Kim Collins; Silver Spring, MD and Rosetta Moore, Baton Rouge, LA. Sisters: Mary Tate, Della Mae Martin, Barbara Campbell (Isaiah) all of Avon Park and Ella Mae Collins of Fort Meade, FL. Brothers: Charles Collins, Avon Park, FL and Earl Collins of South Bend, IN. In addition, he leaves behind a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
