STOTT, Alan R., 78, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 11, 2013 after a brief battle with cancer. He loved the Lord and looked forward to being with Jesus in heaven. He was born in Island Pond, Vermont on March 4, 1934 to Theodore and Verna Stott. Alan graduated from Wells High School in Wells, Maine in 1952. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Alan enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family. Alan is survived by his wife of 58 years, Virginia Stott; a son, Jay (Kathy) Stott; daughters, Sharon (Scott) Andrews and Tami (Rodolphe) Pepin. He is further survived by seven grandchildren, Kimberly Stott, Katie Lemay, Jason Andrews, Mathew Stott, Jarod Andrews, Lynn Toof, Sara Stott, and 10 great- grandchildren, Isaiah Stott, Brody Andrews, Camden Stott, Kiera Lemay, Mia Andrews, MaKenzie Toof, Marissa Lemay, Joseph Toof, Andrea Tuck and Cora Stott. He was preceeded in death by his parents Theodore & Verna Stott and sister Joyce Chlorous. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013, 10 am at the Alliance Church of Zephryhills on 6251 Fort King Rd. He will be interred at Bushnell National Cemetery in Bushnell Florida at a future date. The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Gulfside Regional Hospice of Zephyrhills for their warmth and compassion during his passing.
