HINSON, Betty "Nana", 77, of Turkey Creek, Fla., received an angelic escort home to Heaven on the morning of January 21, 2013, where she was finally gloriously healed and reunited with her beloved son, Terry Clifton Hinson. Betty leaves behind her faithful, loving husband, friend and devoted caregiver of 60+ years, Clifton Dallas Hinson. Also left behind on earth, and forever blessed to have been unconditionally loved by her are her children, Gary Hinson (Mary), Cindy Griffin (Bobby), and Karen Lawson (Greg); sister, Geraldine Biebricher (Papa Peanut) of Atlanta, Ga.; and brother, Johnny Johnson of Tennessee. Betty was honored and proud to be "Nana" to six grandchildren, Kristie Brewington (DJ), Kellie Morrow (Chad), Sommer Sweeney (Jeff), Cory Lawson, Dustin Lawson and Mavric Griffin; and four great-grandchildren, Colby and Dylan Brewington and Easton and Brody Morrow. Betty had a strong will to live, determination and an unwavering faith in God that, along with the love, prayers, support and care of family and friends, carried her through a 22 year courageous fight with Parkinsons Disease. She was a sweet, gentle, kind, humble soul who appreciated the "little things", and more than anything - loved people and being around people! She treated everyone with kindness, never judged, and became everyone's "Nana", once you had met her. All who knew Betty knew of her profound love and adoration for her family. She beamed with pride for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her home was a museum of family photos and her beloved angel collection, and she spent her days looking at the faces of the angels in her life that she cherished so deeply. Family traditions and special occasions that brought all of her family and friends together were one of the highlights of her life. She especially treasured annual summer vacations at Crooked Lake, family Christmas Eve get-togethers, remembering and celebrating loved ones' birthdays, attending the weddings of her granddaughters and watching her grandsons' and great grandsons' ballgames. No matter what it was, she just wanted to be in the presence of family and those she adored! On January 21st, Betty entered into the presence of her adoring Father God and was surrounded by her new Heavenly family. Even now, she is taking part in the most precious of all family reunions, where her Father has kept his promise "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain". Our family traditions here will continue in your honor (though they will never be the same), but we anxiously anticipate the day that we too will see God and be reunited with our "Nana" and her new Heavenly family for eternity. Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 25, 2013, at Turkey Creek First Baptist Church, 4915 West Trapnell Road, Plant City, FL 33566, where the family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
