Carol Bevell Chambers LARMON

LARMON, Carol Bevell Chambers, 75, of Tampa, passed away peacefully June 14, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Larmon; daughters, Susan Chambers (Rob Emerson) & Debi Corrigan (Brad); grandchildren, Emily & Jack Corrigan; and sister, Barbara Bevell Jacquin. A native of Richmond, VA and a graduate of Lynchburg College, Carol's gift of teaching was evident in her career as a special education teacher and as Curriculum Director and Sunday School teacher at Brandon Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and Lake Magdelene United Methodist Church. In her second career as a mental health counselor, Carol's wisdom brought healing and hope to many. Also a gifted leader, Carol served on the board at University Village, in her churches, and for the Florida region of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where she also served as Moderator of the region. An avid reader and world traveler, she also enjoyed concerts, theatre and classic movies. Carol was proud of her children and adored her grandchildren. She leaves the legacy of her strong Christian faith to her family and has shown the light of Jesus to all who knew her. Her grace, kindness and wisdom blessed many, from all walks of life. She will be greatly missed.
