Charles Waller SEGREST

SEGREST, Charles Waller, 88, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012, at his home in Tampa. He was predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Myrtle, who he loved deeply. Charles was the youngest of 13 children and grew up in Reeltown, AL. He served in the USN during WWII and an Auburn City Policeman. Charles retired from the State of Alabama Highway Department on January 11, 1991. He is survived by his son, Charles Allan Segrest of Tampa; his daughters Annette Bartolic of Birmingham, AL; Angela Clemmons (Jim) of Chipley, FL and Amy Cosgrove (Brandt) of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren, Ashley and Austin Bartolic, Nathan Clemmons, Lauren, Adam and Luke Cosgrove. A viewing will take place 4-7 PM at Idlewild Baptist Church, Lutz, 18333. Exciting Idlewild Blvd. with visitation one hour prior to service. Charles was a member and served as a deacon at Parkway Baptist Church in Auburn, AL. He enjoyed his last years of retirement at home with his wife, Myrtle, sitting outside on the swing waving to all who drove by. He will be greatly missed by his family, his caregivers and his dog, Buddy.
