Cynthia Bradley BATSON

BATSON, Cynthia Bradley, 70 of Tampa, passed away at home on January 17, 2013. Cindy was born on December 7, 1942 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was a 1964 graduate of Hood College in Frederick, Md., and has been a resident of Tampa for the past twelve years. Cindy was predeceased in death by her mother, Judith Bradley, her Dad, William Bradley, and her brother, Donald Bradley. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Robert Allen Batson, her daughter, Elizabeth Wyatt Batson, her son, Robert Bradley Batson, his wife Kirsten Oman Batson; granddaughters, Hayley Wilcox Batson and Helen Tate Batson; and her precious English Bulldog, Annie. All who knew Cindy knew of her love for her family, her friends, and her devotion to the Friars and community of Sacred Heart Church. A Mass will be celebrated in her honor on Thursday, January 24 at Sacred Heart Church, 509 North Florida Avenue, Tampa at 2:00 p.m. A gathering will be at the church prior to Mass at 1:00 p.m for those who wish to express their love for Cindy and their sympathy to the family. Interment will follow Mass at the St. Louis section of Oak Lawn Cemetery, downtown Tampa. Flowers can be accepted at Blount & Curry Funeral Home 605 South MacDill Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33609.
