FOSTER, Dorothy L., 91, of Dade City, Florida, was absent from the body and present with the Lord early Sunday morning on June 23, 2013, in Dade City, Florida. Funeral services for Mrs. Foster will be held at 3 pm on Friday, June 28, 2013, at Hodges Family Funeral Home Chapel on Hwy 301. Visitation will be held from 2 pm to the hour of service on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Christian Scholarship Fund at First Baptist Church. . She was born August 10, 1921, in Crawfordville, Florida, to Byron Sellers and Annie Lee Oaks Sellers. She and her first husband Ira Eugene Auton were married for 28 years. She was a farmer and she also worked as a Nurse's Aide at the old Jackson Memorial Hospital in Dade City. She was still working as a caregiver at age 83. She also worked at Dade City Hardware for sometime. Dorothy's second husband, D.B. Foster, and she were married together for 16 years. He passed away in 1989. Mrs. Foster was a very active member of the First Baptist Church and faithfully worked in the bus ministry for many years. She also enjoyed going on trips with the Primetimers group. Dorothy had many friends and family members who will greatly miss her, yet rejoice that she is present with the Lord and pain-free. She is survived by her son Byron Eugene (Shirley) Auton; two step daughters Ellie (Danny) Layton and Nita Cecil; two granddaughters Angela (Stan) Haselton and Bea (Michael) Addison; one step granddaughter Katie Foster and family; two step grandsons Eric Layton and Tim Johnson; two great granddaughters Katherine Elizabeth "Kea" Addison and Shannon Len? Joy Haselton.
