Eileen Margaret O'Brien HELLER

HELLER, Eileen Margaret O'Brien, at 81 years young, went to be with the Lord on Wed. Jan. 30, 2013 in the Hospice Home At High Point, N.C. Eileen was born March 16, 1931 in Columbus, Ohio to Charles and Irene Hamilton O'Brien. After spending her early years on a farm in Xenia, Ohio, she moved to St. Petersburg, Fla. when she was in the 8th grade. Later marrying her first husband, she moved to Hollywood, Fla. where she raised 4 children. Eileen lived in Brooksville, Fla. for more than 30 years and was involved in the St. Anthony's Women's Club, music club, hand bells, Audubon Society, Garden Club [a Master Gardener] and Red Hat Society, while also volunteering at Day Star Life Center since its inception in 1983. She was preceded in death by her second husband Harold Heller, her parents and brothers, Robert Frances and Charles John O'Brien. She is survived by her sister, Mary Kay (Ed) Thornton; sisters-in-law, Margaret O'Brien and Sally O'Brien (Dan) Padberg; son, James (Karen Brady) Blanz; daughters, Pam (Rick) Mathis, Cathy Blanz, Karen Shumway; grandchildren, Bethany Blanz (Eliot) New, Nathan (Katie) Mathis, Stephen Mathis, Anna Mathis, Andrew Shumway, Emma Shumway, Geoff Shumway; great-grandson, Benjamin New and the best group of friends a person could ask for. A heartfelt thanks to all who cared for her. The Celebration of her life will be held February 16, 2013 11:30 a.m. at St. Anthony The Abbot Catholic Church Brooksville, Fla. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice House At High Point, 1803 Westchester Drive High Point, NC 27262.
