BAEZ, Ernest John, 87, of Tampa passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, February 10, 2012. He was pre-deceased by his beloved sons, Ernest J. Baez Jr. and Roger Cantor. He is survived by his loving wife, Hattie; his daughters, Betty Baez Rocha and her husband, Ray and Carolyn Perez; grandchildren, Michele Roberts and her husband, Rick, Ray Rocha and his wife, Melissa, Amber Baez Murphy and her husband, Greg and Ashley Baez; great-grand-children, Chandler Roberts and Grayson Rocha. He is also survived by many loving family members and dear friends, Amy and David Simmons. Ernest was an honored WWII Army veteran and received three Purple Hearts and four Bronze Stars for heroic acts of bravery. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012 in the Adams & Jennings Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children in Ernest's memory.
