CHAPMAN, Faye, 71 , of Wesley Chapel, Fla., departed peacefully, at her home Tuesday, November 10, 2009, sur-rounded by her loving family. Faye was born September 20, 1938, in Blytheville, Ark., the first of five children born to Iva Mae and James Kendrick Davis. Faye supported her community as a registered nurse for more than 50 years, the past 20 of which included working at the James Haley Veterans Hospital administration and SafePlace Mental Health Center of Tampa Bay. Likewise, owing to her love of our country, Faye gave her attention to others in need by serving as a captain in the Army Reserve. She was preceded in death by her loving father, her brother, Danny, and her sister, Sandra Kay. Faye is survived by her mother, Iva Mae; and her three devoted sons, Jeffrey of Odessa, Texas, Gregory of Brussels, Belgium, and Michael of the Tampa Bay area; her devoted brother and sister, Stan Davis and Jo Ann Buley; her grand-children, Shawn, Donald, Mercedes, Joseph and Jennifer, of Odessa, Texas, and Jonathan-Battista and Niccolo-Sebastian of Brussels, Belgium. A celebration of her life is scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, November 14, at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 14046 5th St., Dade City.
