Dr. Harold B. PROBES Jr.

PROBES, Dr. Harold B. Jr., 74, of Wesley Chapel, died October 2, 2012. He was a native of Sche-nectady, New York. A veteran of the United States Army, he completed assignments with the Army Security Agency in Turkey and at the National Security Agency, Ft. George G. Meade, Maryland. Following his military service, Dr. Probes graduated from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He earned his Juris Doctor degree at the Tulane University School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was a member of the Florida Bar, and practiced law in Boca Raton with the firm of Hallman, Meeker and Sanson. Dr. Probes prepared for the gospel ministry at Reformed Theological Seminary, Jackson, Mississippi (Master of Divinity); Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, New Jersey (Master of Theology) and Drew University School of Theology, Madison, New Jersey (Doctor of Ministry). Dr. Probes was called to the Tampa area in 1975 and served as the minister of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Associate Reformed Synod, Tampa, for twenty-five years. Following his retirement, that congregation designated him as their Pastor Emeritus. His survivors include his wife of 46 years, Christine McCall Probes; son, Harold B. Probes III (Brett) of Lakeland, Fl; and daughter, Karen Louise Probes (Lou) of Brooklyn, New York. A Funeral Service for Dr. Probes will be held at 2pm Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 14925 N. Blvd., Tampa. Interment services were held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
