ROSSITER, James B., "Poppy," 89 of Tampa, passed away peacefully at home April 6, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Agnes Rossiter; and sisters, Betty Wells and Mary Chase. James was born in Rochester, NY on September 19, 1923 and proudly served with the US Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Men's Club, Knights of Columbus and Mona Lisa Club. James is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Helen; daughter, Nancy Oparka (Dan); son, Dan (Lois); granddaughter, Lisa Hansen (Mike); grandson, Scott (Stacey); great grandchildren, Brett, Nathan, Nicholas, Noelle, Noah and Emma; sister, Helen Weaver; brothers, Joe, Happy, Leo, Tom and George, as well as, many family and friends. A memorial Mass celebration for James will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 15520 N. Blvd., Tampa, FL 33613. Entombment will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to LifePath Hospice, 12470 Telecom Prkwy., Temple Terrace, FL 33637 in James' memory.
