ROMAN, Joe M., born in Ybor City, Nov. 25, 1928, passed away Dec. 5, 2012. Preceded in death by parents, Manuel and Maria Pulido Roman; brothers, Manuel and Luis; sisters, Teresa Guarino, Manuela Redolta and Julia Perez. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Matilda; sons, Joe (Irene) and John (Mirtha); grandsons, Alan, Philip, JB & Jason; 3 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, John Lopez (Hazel); sister-in-law, Olga Lopez; loving nieces & nephews and beloved friends Andrew & Conchita Peralta. Joe lived life with a song in his heart. He was "Ambassador" of the Columbia Restaurant for 59 years and was known as the 'singing waiter'. Our deepest gratitude to the Richard Gonzmart family for honoring Joe in so many ways. We thank our friends, the Jolly Senior, for 17 memorable years and to Simon Canasi for all his support. Appreciation to the Burgundy Team of Hospice for their care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6-8 pm at the Boza & Roel Funeral Home located at 4730 N. Armenia Ave. Private funeral services will be held on Monday.
